“When the other person is hurting . . . then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance . . . is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.” — Carl Rogers
Hi, I’m KC.
Are you feeling lonely, fearful, sad, angry, jealous, grief, overwhelmed, anxious, or hopeless?
Wherever you find yourself, you are not alone. I believe there is hope and a future to help you find peace, wholeness, and change towards a path to healing.
Perhaps you’re…
Feeling stuck in self-sabotaging sexual behaviors that feel out of control
In crisis in your marriage or relationship and don’t know what to do next
Longing for hope in your relationship with your partner, but you keep having the same arguments over and over
Feeling trapped in cycles of addiction, trauma, or abuse
In need of spiritually sensitive support from a therapist who honors your faith
I help people with their wounds of the heart. We all have challenging seasons in life. Such seasons may bring loss, hardships, deep suffering, or even tragedy. In those seasons, life’s burdens, relational challenges, emotional wounds, or life transitions can seem challenging to navigate alone.
I can help you with:
Couples counseling
Sex therapy
Out-of-control sexual behaviors
Infidelity & affair recovery
Faith-based counseling (including for those in ministry)
My clients are:
Adults and couples who come to each session with a willingness to put in the effort to work towards change to fulfill their purpose and goals for therapy to gain healing, peace, and hope.
How I help:
I believe that you deserve to be heard, validated, and understood. I believe that when you are seen and heard, you will develop the capacity to change and the capacity to live your life to your fullest potential that you were created with such as self-worth, self-authenticity, self-understanding, peace, hope, joy, and connection in your relationships.
I believe that with the work we will do together, you can break the cycles of shame, addiction, abuse, and trauma that may have trapped you in your emotional pain. You were created to live to your fullest potential, and I want to help you to know that and live in that potential.
What you can expect from working with me:
I am passionate about walking with you in your healing journey by providing a safe space for you to feel heard, validated, trust, and be vulnerable. I hold your stories with care, compassion, empathy, and deep respect. I honor your goals for change and gently facilitate change at your speed and direction while offering therapeutic tools and insights.
Wherever you may be in your emotional pain, I provide unconditional regard with a non-judgmental environment where I facilitate your processing of your stories and emotions.
I will continually affirm your worth and value while encouraging your strengths and bringing painful patterns into your awareness to begin change. I encourage self-discovery, self-care and will help you build joy in your life.
I embrace an empathic, client-centered, compassionate approach and provide an inquisitive or mirror my client’s state for the purpose of my clients’ reflection and realization. I utilize various evidence-based approaches that bring about real change. Additionally, I provide faith-based counseling if desired.
My goal is to always respect you and I am open to your feedback to better serve your needs. I value your time and may utilize solution-focused therapy to reach your goals in a timely manner. I am grateful to all my clients for trusting me and I am honored to walk alongside you during this season.
